COLO SPRGS, CO (April 29, 2025) – USA Shooting is proud to welcome two exceptional leaders to our team—Dan Durben as High Performance Director and Don Stith as Paralympic Team Manager. Their experience and dedication will play a vital role in empowering our athletes as we build toward success at the Los Angeles 2028 (LA28) Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Both Durben and Stith bring a history of valuable contributions to USA Shooting, having previously supported the shooting sports community with their expertise and leadership.

Durben served as the USA Shooting National Rifle Coach from 1997-2000 and was the Olympic Team Coach for the 2000 Sydney Games. From 2003 to 2008, he was the Paralympic National Coach, leading teams at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. Durben returned to USA Shooting from 2019-2021 to serve once again as the National Rifle Team Coach.

Durben steps into his new role as High Performance Director at a pivotal and energizing moment for USA Shooting, as we advance in preparing our athletes for peak performance for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Stith rejoins the USA Shooting leadership team, feeling right at home in his role at Paralympic Team Manager. He served as the Paralympic Team Manager from 2021-2022, leading the team through the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Stith’s long-standing commitment to USA Shooting has taken many forms—from supporting his daughter on the National Rifle Team, to coaching at the junior club level, and volunteering with the Paralympic Team at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

As USA Shooting continues to strengthen its leadership and support for athletes, the addition of Dan Durben and Don Stith marks an exciting new phase in our organization’s journey. Their extensive experience and unwavering dedication to the shooting sports community will empower our athletes to reach new heights as we work toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With their guidance, USA Shooting is poised to build on its legacy of excellence and inspire the next generation of champions.
